Bio
Mali Elfman is an award winning Writer and Director and BAFTA nominated Producer. She began her career with her micro-budget feature film DO NOT DISTURB. Since then she’s produced many films including Karen Gillan’s THE PARTY’S JUST BEGINNING, Mike Flanagan’s BEFORE I WAKE and Laura Moss's BIRTH/REBIRTH.
She was formerly the Head of Production for Fun Size Horror which distributed over 300 short horror films through Alamo Drafthouse, Amazon, Hulu and more. She has also produced several live events, including Mark Danielewski’s “The Fifty Year Sword” at the REDCAT theater, three iterations of the Overlook Festival's Immersive Horror ARG. the award winning ARCANA and most recently "The Shape of the Night".
Elfman was selected for the Tribeca and Chanel’s "Through Her Lens" Grant, the Cannes Film Festival’s “Breaking Through the Lens” Program and in 2023 as "Variety's 10 Producers To Watch."
Elfman released NEXT EXIT, her debut feature as a Writer and Director which was distributed by Magnolia Pictures in 2022.
